giveit is a programme that gives you exclusive discounts and offers for shopping with us. Plus, every time you shop using the giveit programme The Warehouse donates to a charity of your choice.

At the moment the programme is only available for trial to customers in the Wellington, Canterbury, Otago or Southland area via The Warehouse app or in the following stores: Lower Hutt, Lyall Bay, Paraparaumu, Petone, Porirua, Upper Hutt, Wellington, Ashburton, Barrington, Belfast, Eastgate, Hornby, Northlands, Rangiora, Riccarton, Rolleston, South City, Timaru, Alexandra, Balclutha, Mosgiel, Oamaru, Queenstown, South Dunedin, Gore, Invercargill. We'll be launching to more stores soon, stay tuned!

giveit is brand-new programme that we are currently trialling amongst small groups of customers within the Wellington, Canterbury, Otago and Southland area, we want to make sure we get a chance to gather valuable feedback so we can improve our programme and make it the best it can be!

BETA means that our giveit programme is still under development stages and is open for improvements. We’ve released a BETA version of our programme that allows you to be the first to test our programme and provide us with your valuable feedback. Let us know what you think at: [email protected].

  1. Download 'The Warehouse' app on your smartphone and register, or log in if you already have an account with us (make sure it's the latest version).
  2. If you can’t see the giveit sign up banner, check if your local store is participating in the trial - you can find this information via this link: www.giveit.co.nz.
  3. If your local store is indeed part of the trial (congratulations on being the first to trial!), go to your The Warehouse app, click on your account page, you will need to select your preferred store within Wellington, Canterbury, Otago and Southland area.
  4. You should now see a giveit 'join us' banner on your home screen.

We are trialling a couple of different features at the moment. But not to worry, once we have finished testing and trialling what works best for our customers we will create and update the programme so it is the same for everyone.

To update your phone number or email address, just select the giveit account settings in the The Warehouse app - account tab can be found on the bottom right of your screen.

To deactivate your giveit account please email our team on: [email protected] and we will be able to help you. Please note that once your account is deactivated all your rewards and offers will be lost & you will need to create a new account if you’d like to rejoin the programme in the future.

You can find your giveit QR code in The Warehouse mobile app under ‘wallet’.

giveit offers are deals and discounts available only to members of giveit. In The Warehouse app you can find offers on your homepage, in the offers tab and on relevant product pages. If you’re interested in using an offer all you have to do is click add on the offer, and it will be added to your in-app wallet. The next time you shop in store or via the app the relevant offer will be applied.

giveit offers are only valid in The Warehouse app or in the following stores: Lower Hutt, Lyall Bay, Paraparaumu, Petone, Porirua, Upper Hutt, Wellington, Ashburton, Barrington, Belfast, Eastgate, Hornby, Northlands, Rangiora, Riccarton, Rolleston, South City, Timaru, Alexandra, Balclutha, Mosgiel, Oamaru, Queenstown, South Dunedin, Gore, Invercargill.

Yes, you can currently use this in conjunction with Farmlands, The Purple Visa Card, The Warehouse Money Card and Christmas Club Card.

Each offer will be available for a different length of time. The expiry for each offer will be shown clearly on the offer - within your offer's tab.

You can use multiple giveit product/category offers in a transaction, you can also combine product/category offers with a basket level offer in the same transaction – provided you meet the requirements of each offer. However you can not use more than basket level offer at a time.

For example: You can use can use the following offers together:

  • 25% off pet beds (product/category offer) , and
  • 20% off stationery (product/category offer) , and
  • spend $50 get $5 off (basket level offer).

You cannot use the following offers together:

  • spend $50 get $5 off (basket level offer)
  • $5 sign-up bonus (basket level offer)
  • get a 10% discount when you spend $100 or more (basket level offer)

What is a basket level offer? It’s an offer that applies a discount to the whole transaction, rather than a product offer which applies a discount to an individual item. For example: spend $50 get $5 off, or get a 10% discount when you spend $100 or more.

General exclusions apply, you can’t use the giveit offers to purchase gift cards, kitset assembly services, TV installation, Clearance and Apple products. Further exclusions may apply, this will be shown clearly on the offer.

The best part about the donation is it doesn’t cost you anything at all. The donation is made entirely by The Warehouse as a thank-you for shopping with us. When you identify yourself as a giveit member when making a purchase, a donation to charity will be made by us automatically.

We have a collection of existing charity partners that we’ve been working with for a long time which were selected to be a part of the giveit programme.

When selecting a charity, you can choose between supporting Education, Wellbeing, Growth, or Planet communities within New Zealand. The charities under each of these categories are: Life Education Trust (Education), Plunket (Wellbeing), Variety - The Children’s Charity (Growing Communities) and Sustainable Coastlines (Planet). Absolutely! You can update your charitable cause at any time under the giveit ‘cause’ settings. All you have to do is tap on the ‘cause’ tab to view other charities. Once you have selected your new charity, you will need to select the ‘update’ button to confirm the changes you’ve made.

If you return a product and you had redeemed an offer or reward when you purchased that product, the offer/reward can be credited back to your account at your request. Simply email your name, phone number, reward/offer used and the date and approximate time of the original purchase to [email protected] within 7 days of your refund transaction.
